Operation Amy and Kate take over the world is in full effect in Japan.
One question people always ask me is how I end up doing such cool things - here’s my answer, I will talk to anyone.
Kate’s husband is a Fire Marshal back in California.
So today, I threw on my Chabot College Firefighter t-shirt that I “borrowed” several years ago from a friend back at home that is a firefighter, we walked into the fire house next to our hotel and through a combonation of sign language, broken english and broken japanese we walked out of there with the shirt of the back of one of the fire fighters, a brand new shirt AND the jacket off an EMT’s back. I think this is the best souvenir I’ll take back with me.
So here’s today’s advice - never be afraid to ask for anything. The worst that can happen is they’ll say no - but at least you tried right? And in my experience 8 times out of 10 - i get what I want.
